Highlander: The Source

Made me very sad. SciFi network spliced commercials at the worst possible moments, didn't broadcast it letterboxed & the whole thing looked more like a bad music video than a Highlander movie.

Hopefully I can get my hands on a commercial free version & see if it seems less awful without the commercials. Story was very weak in my opinion.

They did have some nifty high tech toys though...

ok, i saw resident evil 3 this past weekend....and i tried, i really did, to enjoy it. Usually i go into a movie with a clear mind...just sit back and enjoy the mindless mayhem thats about to unfold. This movie, from its get go, defied any type of baser logical thinking. In its beginning it unfolds the story; worlds end, downfall of civilization, been 5 years and the world is overrun with zombies. Yet apparently they still manufacture shiney BMW motorcycles and the gasoline to power them is still around (didnt evaporate in 5 years!). Oh, and people still have time, despite the daily struggle for life against starvation and being eaten alive, to apply makeup! Now i really enjoyed the first two movie in the series but dang this third one didnt start to get interesting until about the last 10 minutes or so! Milla, as always, brought the hotness.

GF and I went to see the The Brave One last weekend and really enjoyed it. Emotionally powerful. She was still shaken up and teary about 10 minutes after the end. Something about Jodie Foster just won't let go, must be those eyes.

You mean Cemetery Man?

Are you are telling the actual non Americans to watch it, or saying that we are not American if we haven't watched it?

My brother-in-law did and he said it's pretty good (for a P-13 "horror" flick).

A "horror" movie should be fine at PG-13. A bloody gore-fest usually requires an R, but thats not the same as horror.

I recently rented 28 weeks later. I would classify it as horrible! Just like I did with 28 days later, rent it, watch it, and found them both terribly disturbing, and sent it back. Then found my self still thinking about it days later. 28 days later, and 28 weeks later, are both horrible; I think that’s why they call them horror movies... They are both very disturbing.

I just saw 1408 a couple days ago on video, it is creepy as hell! Definitely a good pick for a Halloween movie to watch :D

We went and saw "The Comebacks" on Friday. A few funny spots, but not that good. It can't decide if it wants to be an over-the-top spoof movie or just a parody with elements from other sports movies. I'd give it a C+.

the previews didn't make it look good. Looked as if they were trying to hard.

I'm avoiding Beowulf. Only one real way for the story to end & all & if they end it differently, it will piss me off.

Daughter & I went to see Enchanted last week. Predictable Disney fare, but a well done light movie. James Marsden in tights is a hoot & Susan Sarandon does a marvelous wicked witch/evil stepmother.

I saw Mr. Brooks the other day and enjoyed it quite a bit. Aside from the lame, out-of-place, matrix wanna-be gun fight at the end, the movie was a completely different look at both addiction and serial killers.

Also, here's a trailer for a short film that my brother is in the process of finishing. It's titled Jacob and the Chicken

I am Legend - Good acting from Will Smith, thats about it. The story was lame and boring. WTB more action.

Super Bad - funny but not comparable to the first American Pie or Van Wilder.

Spider man 3 - as good as #2

Brave Heart and Gladiator- still pwned
