Hi guys & gals...I created a Facebook group for CV so that Dee isn't paying for the 5 or so of us that actually still visit the forums to chat occasionally. A good majority of us have Facebooks anyways, and I felt bad that she was still outputting each month....

Anywho, if you want to join there, awesome, if not, I think I'm going to have to ask Dee to stop keeping the site alive. In this day & age, with very little to no activity, and a very very very slim chance that CV will be resurrected as a full-on in-game guild, it's a waste of money on Dee's part. I know she will post that she doesn't mind (because I didn't ask her first before I did this), but my conscious was eating at me.

So....spread the word to fellow CVers that you still know. I have several email addresses for people who've long stopped playing or moved. This is open to ALL past and present members of the CV family & their families as well (if they want). I've got the permissions on the group set to approval, so that we weren't getting a bunch of random people joining that we don't know. Make sure to select "add a message" and put a char name i'll recognize in there. I know most of your first names, but just to be on the safe side. :)

I miss you guys, and hope to see you soon!

You're right, I don't mind.

And it works differently now than it used to. I'll cancel the subscription, but we can leave it up as a free site, although there will be advertising.

That way people who come back in a year or whatever trying to find out where we went can still find the info to join the FB group & if we want to start it up again at some point in the undefined future, it's as easy as resubscribing.

I'm not really into FaceBook (hehe, i accidentally spelled "book" with a "b" instead of a "k"), but I requested to join, but i didn't see where to add a message. I don't know that anyone in the guild knows my RL name...

it's Nate.

I knew your RL name. :) But I never told anyone.

And keeping it up as a free site would be cool. :) We don't use it enough to mind advertising.

Mac - you need to play FarmVille. Steve hated Facebook too....until I made him become a neighbor so I could expand to 14x14, and now's he's worse than I am with the little games. :)

The little games are addictive. And Fishville keeps me from grumping about where in the house I could put an aquarium & whether or not Zin would remember to feed the fish when I'm gone.

LOL Dee....we had a fish tank once....and one of them ate all the other ones....so we don't have a fish tank anymore. FishVille has taken its place. Pretty too look at, and minimal maintenance. :) And my fish only die if I forget to feed them.

I've got a 125-gallon aquarium AND play Fishville. Who'd have thought it would be so addictive to log in and feed virtual fish for a few minutes every day?
